Web site upgrade

We have just added a few new features to the web site.

Bean's Beans: Our Store Blog

The first one is our store news blog called Bean's Beans. We will be using this to not only inform you about regular store events such as sales and other promotions, but we'll also be using it to tell you about new product lines that we are carrying and other toy news. If you use a feed reader (such as Google Reader) then you can subscribe to our feed at http://www.pedagogytoys.com/beans/RSS

Aside from postings by store owners Craig and Karen Smecher, you may also see the occasional posting by Kevin Teague (such as this one). As the site admin, web designer and web developer I'll be letting you know about any new or interesting features that we add to the web site.

Products and Online Sales

We have been adding information about the brands that we carry in our store to the web site over this summer. We encourage you to visit our brand manufacurer's web sites, as they are usually the best source of information about the products that they make. However, we have added the ability to add information about each of the products that we have in-stock and in-store to the web site. Right now we've just upgraded the site, so we don't have any product information, but Craig and Karen Smecher will be adding information as time permits. Since  the Smecher's have toddlers of their own (and a couple of cats), and they have over 1,000 products in the store, it will take a while to get everything added to the site, so please be patient ...

As product information becomes available, our new Product Search form will allow you to search for products based on price range, age range, gender and by category. Once we have enough products on our web site, we will also be opening the site up for online sales, and those of you who are not able to make the trip out to our physical store in New Westminster will be able to place your orders through PayPal.
